behind the artistic style supported by Napoleon Bonaparte. Members are invited
to view the exhibition before and after the lecture. Timed entry tickets are

Bonaparte (1763–1814) lived during one of the most exciting, traumatic and creative
periods in history. Her marriage to Napoleon advanced her to the center of the world
stage, where she was one of the most prominent and artistically influential
women in
Europe. Eleanor P. DeLorme, author of Josephine:
Napoleon’s Incomparable Empress and Josephine and the Arts of the Empire, will speak on
Josephine’s taste in interior design, fashion, jewelry, painting, and sculpture.
A special viewing of the exhibition follows
the lecture.
